District 9

There is a lot of issues in my life. With most of the issues that I deal with I end up coming to some type of conclusion in the end. The one thing that is always going to puzzle me is aliens. In some cases it seems real to me because of the stories behind them. It could only mean two things, the people that tell these stories really have a great imagination or it really happens. I think I'm probably gonna stay a sceptical person until I or someone I personally know see's one. There's only been a couple of different extraterrestrial movies that I've seen. Most of them were by mistake, because I didn't know what they were about until I saw them. I couldn't imagine being isolated from everything else in the world and just having my own world. In most circumstances it always seems to be someone plotting to get out.

This movie is about a extraterrestrial race that is looked at as foreigners, per say. The aliens are confined to there own area and policed around the perimeter. The area is referred to as District 9 and there mother ship has been hovering above for more than 20 years. Everything goes on in District 9 that happens everywhere else in the world. With prostitution, drug lords (the Africans), gangs, everything expect government. Everything was going well until the aliens were told that they have to move. The government comes in and evicts them and government agent Wikus Van De Merwe (Sharlto Copley) was exposed to some fluid that was suppose to help the aliens get back to there mother ship. The fluid starts to turn Wikus into an alien and its all down hill from there.

I'm kinda up in the air with this one. Maybe it's just me but I didn't really like this one. A couple of people that I know saw this movie and liked it. It could have something to do with me being bias because I don't like alien movies. The movie has some hidden points in it about not judging people and racism. At the beginning of the movie I couldn't even take it seriously. I don't think it should have been made like a documentary because if it wasn't it wouldn't look so cheap. I can tell the budget wasn't that high because of the way it was made and no A Lister's or B Lister's. Overall if your an alien fan you might want to wait for dvd for this one with no rush.

G I Joe! Rise of Cobra

There was nothing better than watching G I Joe when I was younger. During my school years my father always had to be at work 6:30 and I had to be at the bus stop between 7:30-7:45. I can remember Transformers came on at 7:00 and G I Joe came on at 7:30. I use to stretch the time as far as I could. It was a point where my grandmother would stop telling me to hurry up because I knew if I messed that bus that was my butt. Recently I looked up G I Joe on the Internet to try to catch up on the characters. It was funny to me to see that I was so into it back then. The graphics was bad but I guess I'm wrong for comparing the cartoons from now to more than twenty years ago. I know they made a newer version since then. I haven't had a chance to see that version but I'm sure it's better than the 80's one. I always liked G I Joe better than transformers for some reason and that still hasn't changed.

Due to some unbelievable soldiers that came out of nowhere that call themselves Cobra. G I Joe was on the scene. The two men that were in the middle of it
Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) didn't know what they were getting themselves into. They had there back against the wall when G I Joe showed up with different types of weapons that they never seen before and now they want in on the elite group. Of course Cobra was eagered to take over the world with getting their hands on an incredible weapon. For the front line of Cobra is Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee) and Ana / Baroness (the hot girl Sienna Miller ) who turns out to be Duke ex-future wife. With the scary weapon all ready to go to destroy the world G I Joe is out to stop it from happening.

I was impressed with this movie even with Transformers doing a pretty good job. The movie has everything that a man would want in a movie, hot women, great action, great effects and a good plot. It's funny to me what certain outfits can do for a women. Sienna Miller is a pretty women but she just looks great in the black outfit that she wore. A lot of the time I try to find something wrong with the movies that I review but with this one I can't. I'm sure that they're people out there that will disagree with me but I believe this movie is top notch and better than Transformers. Please don't wait until it comes out on dvd, after you read this go and see it.

Orphan

Kids, you gotta love them. I have personally inherited four kids in my life. Some people would probably call me crazy for doing so, but I enjoy it. The only way that it hurts me is money reasons because I'm not working these days. The way I look at it is I adapted the kids to give them a somewhat better life. It helps me a lot to be able to help out my girlfriend and all her kids. I've even taken up the responsibility of my girlfriends ex in which a lot of people will call me stupid for a couple of reasons. Now I think I'm a more responsible person and I need the kids in my life to give me more stability. Unfortunately they're a lot of kids that need a good home to live in and grow up. I don't think there's nothing wrong with bringing in someone in your household to make everyone better. The kid that you chose to become a part of your family make sure you do a little back ground check. You might need to just to make sure they're who they really seem to be.

This movie is a scary one just off the fact that you never know what your gonna get. This wonderful couple has just lost there baby and they decide to adopt.
Kate Coleman (Vera Farmiga) and husband John Coleman (Peter Sarsgaard ) are having a stressful relationship. They believe that bringing a child into there home would be the best thing for them. So they go to an adoption center to look for a child and they find this cute little girl Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman). When Esther arrives at the house everything is going so well until the lady from the adoption center comes and finds out some information about Esther that the Coleman's didn't know. With that information out in the open Esther does whatever it takes for that information not to get delivered. Kate is the one that sees the craziness coming and John thought she was just paranoid. Lets just say that the mother was right and the "little girl" has a couple screws lose.

I liked this one personally. It was differently a suspense thriller that I can see again. It really wasn't to bad for the kids over thirteen to see. Although it had some sexual situations in it but no nudity. Some of the things in the movie are similar to the other ones like Omen and The Good Son. At the end of the movie it gives you a real different twist of a disease that I haven't heard of. Isabelle Fuhrman did a great job in this movie playing this crazy "little girl." If your in the mood for a good suspense thriller go and see this one. You won't be disappointed.
