This is it

Wow, I really don't know where to start with this one. I loved Micheal Jackson all my life. I can always remember back in my hay days when I used to think I was him. Since he passed away I think I've heard of more people imitating him than ever. I never took it as far as wearing his gloves around like I heard some people do. If anyone was to ask me what my favorite song is I don't think I could answer that. It's just to many songs in my personal life that I could call the best. I can remember my nephew being around four or five and dancing to Mike. It's funny to see him really enjoy his music and being to young to know the history of MJ.

When I first seen this movie coming out I knew I had to see it. It's all base on his rehearsals for his tour that he unfortunately couldn't even start. At his news conference when he was announcing his tour he said he was doing all the songs that his fans wants to hear. He wasn't lying about that. It was a crazy amount of dancers that was trying out for the part to dance with MJ. Mike was very hands on with the tour. I never really thought that he was a perfectionist. Times in the movie he would dig into different people about the way he wanted things to run to his satisfaction. As everyone knows Mike was a dancing machine and it was shown all through the movie. One particular part while he was doing a song he decided to take some time out to just get down with his bad self. The best part of that was when they showed the reactions from his dancers because the love showed so well. The effects in his show was very unique and I'm sure he only used the very best for the show.

There isn't a chance in the world that I would tell anyone not to go and see this one. If for some reason someone hasn't heard of Micheal Jackson. This movie would give you a good perspective on why people loved him so much. So please don't wait until this comes out on dvd. Go and see this one at the theater so you can really enjoy the sounds. On the other hand if your kind of embarrass to sing in front of people than you might just want to wait.

Paranormal Activity

To have to deal with a real life ghost is something that I'm not looking forward to. When I first thought of a ghost becoming my reality I really wouldn't know how to deal with it if it happened. I was told that my mother passed away in my house to this day I'm not sure if that was true or not. It really wasn't what I was thinking about around that time in my life. If she was there she never once bothered me unless it was for a good reason. I believe in spirits just off the thought that we can't just disappear after we die. My girlfriend has witnessed ghosts in her life time when she was living in a house that was haunted. Just to imagine a certain ghost following me around all my life would scare the crap out of me.

Paranormal Activity is based on a lady being haunted by a demon all her life. Katie Featherston has been trying to live a normal life but still has different episodes of the demon haunting her. Her boyfriend Micah Sloat decides to try to get the proof on video. After a couple of nights has gone by he noticed that a couple of things were happening that he wanted to point out. No matter how weird he thought the situation was he couldn't explain it even with the tape.Katie couldn't take it anymore and had to reach out to someone that could help. She knew somebody that knew somebody that was a psychic and gave him a call. The first time Mark Fredrichs came by he was supposed to have a scary feeling and the second time he realized he wasn't strong enough to help her.

I was just into this movie as I was for Blair Witch Project. I think I remember it was said that the Blair Witch Project was suppose to be based on a true story. In the back of my mind I knew it was fake but I tried to do whatever it took to think it was real. Unfortunately I had the same feeling about this movie, while my girlfriend thought everything was real because of the way it was set up.I think the previews are a little over board with how good this movie is. My personal advice is just to wait to watch it when it comes to video because I think it would be a little more scary.

Gamer

I've always been a fan of playing video games. When I was growing up that's what most of the people in my neighborhood did. It was kind of funny because I used to beat everybody except by best friend. To this day I never understood how he managed to always have my number. It was basically only sports games that I was into. I would occasionally play some racing, adventure and army games. Now that I think about it I never had the chance to ever beat any army games. Leading into this movie, I'm sure glad I wasn't part of this adventure.

Interesting enough this movie is based on a video game that's played by real people. When I say real people I mean real people. Kable (
Gerard Butler) was a man on a mission at the very beginning played by (really played by) Simon (Logan Lerman). Simon is a young rich kid that's known around the world for his great game play. A big change has arrived when he has to help Kable get out. Angie (the hot girl Amber Valletta) is Kable's ex and is now struggling economically and has to pick up a role in a realistic world video game. The genius that started the whole game became the richest person in the world, passing Bill Gates in weeks.
Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall) is a mad man and has a way bigger plan than just games. Humanz is a organization that is out to stop Ken because they know what his ultimate goal is. Humanz is ran by Brother (Ludacris) and is very proud to get Kable on his side. With all type of futuristic battles going down, who knows what the end could be.

Again, I wasn't disappointed in this one. I don't really know that I'm kind of easily pleased or the movies I've seen lately are really good. I think the fact that I use to always imagine games being played like that made me even more interested. The casting of the movie was right on point and the action will keep you interested. If your not a video game person and you like action movies then you still want to see this one. Go to the theater, this is not a wait to go on dvd one. As a person not really into a lot of action you might want to wait.

Funny People

Overall in my life I've just been getting by. I'll be the first to admit being an overachiever is far from my resume. The little small things that I have accomplished in my life is pretty much what everyone else has done. Recently I've registered myself back into school due to some out of my control circumstances. With this, I consider my second chance to actually so something in my life. The good thing is I haven't been around anyone that knew they were dying soon. I've had conversations with some people about what I would try to do if I knew that my time was up. The closest I've ever been feeling that way was when I took my HIV test. Just for the record I am negative but between the time I wasn't sure was very stressful. When someone finds out that they're dying all of a sudden everything isn't taken for granted.

The plot of this movie is about a comedian George Simmons (Adam Sandler) finding about that he's dying from a form of cancer. With his mind pretty much on the down side of everything he looks for a writer to write his jokes for him. Ira Wright (Seth Rogan) was the lucky one that had to open for George and George seen some potential in Ira. Ira was a man struggling
on his own, living with two other comedians Leo Koenig (Jonah Hill) and Mark Taylor Jackson (Jason Schwartzman) that was doing better than him. Now that Ira has a good job writing for George his self esteem was going out the window because he's being treated like crap from George. After some meds that George had to take he became healed from his drama. Trying to convince his ex-wife Laura (the hot girl Leslie Mann) to be back with him because he was sick back fired on him in a terrible way. With a lot of things changing because he was dying on the other hand most things stayed the same.

I can confidently say that this movie is a good one. I loved the combination of Seth and Adam. Although it wasn't as good as the combo of Adam and Kevin but it was good. I was a little confused about what the main lesson was in this movie because of the ups and downs of George. My conclusion was that you should never take anyone for granted. I'm not sure if this movie is still in theaters or not but if it is without question go and see this one.

District 9

There is a lot of issues in my life. With most of the issues that I deal with I end up coming to some type of conclusion in the end. The one thing that is always going to puzzle me is aliens. In some cases it seems real to me because of the stories behind them. It could only mean two things, the people that tell these stories really have a great imagination or it really happens. I think I'm probably gonna stay a sceptical person until I or someone I personally know see's one. There's only been a couple of different extraterrestrial movies that I've seen. Most of them were by mistake, because I didn't know what they were about until I saw them. I couldn't imagine being isolated from everything else in the world and just having my own world. In most circumstances it always seems to be someone plotting to get out.

This movie is about a extraterrestrial race that is looked at as foreigners, per say. The aliens are confined to there own area and policed around the perimeter. The area is referred to as District 9 and there mother ship has been hovering above for more than 20 years. Everything goes on in District 9 that happens everywhere else in the world. With prostitution, drug lords (the Africans), gangs, everything expect government. Everything was going well until the aliens were told that they have to move. The government comes in and evicts them and government agent Wikus Van De Merwe (Sharlto Copley) was exposed to some fluid that was suppose to help the aliens get back to there mother ship. The fluid starts to turn Wikus into an alien and its all down hill from there.

I'm kinda up in the air with this one. Maybe it's just me but I didn't really like this one. A couple of people that I know saw this movie and liked it. It could have something to do with me being bias because I don't like alien movies. The movie has some hidden points in it about not judging people and racism. At the beginning of the movie I couldn't even take it seriously. I don't think it should have been made like a documentary because if it wasn't it wouldn't look so cheap. I can tell the budget wasn't that high because of the way it was made and no A Lister's or B Lister's. Overall if your an alien fan you might want to wait for dvd for this one with no rush.

G I Joe! Rise of Cobra

There was nothing better than watching G I Joe when I was younger. During my school years my father always had to be at work 6:30 and I had to be at the bus stop between 7:30-7:45. I can remember Transformers came on at 7:00 and G I Joe came on at 7:30. I use to stretch the time as far as I could. It was a point where my grandmother would stop telling me to hurry up because I knew if I messed that bus that was my butt. Recently I looked up G I Joe on the Internet to try to catch up on the characters. It was funny to me to see that I was so into it back then. The graphics was bad but I guess I'm wrong for comparing the cartoons from now to more than twenty years ago. I know they made a newer version since then. I haven't had a chance to see that version but I'm sure it's better than the 80's one. I always liked G I Joe better than transformers for some reason and that still hasn't changed.

Due to some unbelievable soldiers that came out of nowhere that call themselves Cobra. G I Joe was on the scene. The two men that were in the middle of it
Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) didn't know what they were getting themselves into. They had there back against the wall when G I Joe showed up with different types of weapons that they never seen before and now they want in on the elite group. Of course Cobra was eagered to take over the world with getting their hands on an incredible weapon. For the front line of Cobra is Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee) and Ana / Baroness (the hot girl Sienna Miller ) who turns out to be Duke ex-future wife. With the scary weapon all ready to go to destroy the world G I Joe is out to stop it from happening.

I was impressed with this movie even with Transformers doing a pretty good job. The movie has everything that a man would want in a movie, hot women, great action, great effects and a good plot. It's funny to me what certain outfits can do for a women. Sienna Miller is a pretty women but she just looks great in the black outfit that she wore. A lot of the time I try to find something wrong with the movies that I review but with this one I can't. I'm sure that they're people out there that will disagree with me but I believe this movie is top notch and better than Transformers. Please don't wait until it comes out on dvd, after you read this go and see it.

Orphan

Kids, you gotta love them. I have personally inherited four kids in my life. Some people would probably call me crazy for doing so, but I enjoy it. The only way that it hurts me is money reasons because I'm not working these days. The way I look at it is I adapted the kids to give them a somewhat better life. It helps me a lot to be able to help out my girlfriend and all her kids. I've even taken up the responsibility of my girlfriends ex in which a lot of people will call me stupid for a couple of reasons. Now I think I'm a more responsible person and I need the kids in my life to give me more stability. Unfortunately they're a lot of kids that need a good home to live in and grow up. I don't think there's nothing wrong with bringing in someone in your household to make everyone better. The kid that you chose to become a part of your family make sure you do a little back ground check. You might need to just to make sure they're who they really seem to be.

This movie is a scary one just off the fact that you never know what your gonna get. This wonderful couple has just lost there baby and they decide to adopt.
Kate Coleman (Vera Farmiga) and husband John Coleman (Peter Sarsgaard ) are having a stressful relationship. They believe that bringing a child into there home would be the best thing for them. So they go to an adoption center to look for a child and they find this cute little girl Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman). When Esther arrives at the house everything is going so well until the lady from the adoption center comes and finds out some information about Esther that the Coleman's didn't know. With that information out in the open Esther does whatever it takes for that information not to get delivered. Kate is the one that sees the craziness coming and John thought she was just paranoid. Lets just say that the mother was right and the "little girl" has a couple screws lose.

I liked this one personally. It was differently a suspense thriller that I can see again. It really wasn't to bad for the kids over thirteen to see. Although it had some sexual situations in it but no nudity. Some of the things in the movie are similar to the other ones like Omen and The Good Son. At the end of the movie it gives you a real different twist of a disease that I haven't heard of. Isabelle Fuhrman did a great job in this movie playing this crazy "little girl." If your in the mood for a good suspense thriller go and see this one. You won't be disappointed.

Miss March

Being a virgin has never been a good thing in high school. I'm not really sure why, I think it all started by the first person whoever had sex on prom night. It really all comes down to the peer pressure that we received from our friends. I just feel bad because as the years go on the kids are having sex younger and younger. Around Kalamazoo the perspective that I have of the kids is it's cool to have a kid at sixteen. It looks like your not cool if you don't have any kids if your sixteen. On the other part of the town it's a college area and getting pregnant is the last thing on their mind. I have a feeling that they're having sex but I think they're more conscious of getting pregnant. This whole situation effects me personally because I have a twelve year old step daughter who's on her way to middle school. I don't think she will take that route because it's to many people around her who made the same dumb mistakes. Plus she can't stand kids already. To be in high school excited about having sex for the first time and everything going south could only happen once.

Funny comedy is about
Eugene Bell (Zach Cregger ) who has experienced some bad sex examples in his teenage years. His brother has gone through some terrible things by having sex and it took his toll on Eugenes sex life. Eugene has a girlfriend for Cindi Whitehall (the hot girl Raquel Alessi) about two years and she's ready to have sex for the first time. After some hard consideration Eugene gives in and agrees to have sex only on prom night. When the night arrives Eugene is a little nervous about having sex and his best friend Tucker Cleigh (Trevor Moore) wants to help him take his mind off the sex and decides to get Eugene a little drunk. After quite to many drinks he's all ready to get it on but falls down some steps and gets knocked out for four years. When he finally wakes up everyone in his life has moved on except Tucker. With Tuckers obsession with Playboy he realizes that Cindi has posed in the March issue. With that being said Eugene and Tucker finds a opportunity to get to the Playboy mansion to talk to Cindi. That's where the adventure begins.

I found this movie to be funny. The adventures in this movie are mostly realistic and so are the outcomes.
Horsedick.MPEG (Craig Robinson) is the funniest character in this movie. Horsdick.mpeg is a rapper who helps Eugene and Tucker get to the playboy mansion. When I first started to watch this movie I thought is was going to be a typical teen comedy but to me it was funnier than the rest. I know that's a really big statement but until I try to go back and see the other one's I'm going to stick with that. If you have already seen this movie when it was out at the theater than I'm mad that nobody told me about it. If you haven't got a chance to see it than I suggest that you go to your local video store to pick it up.

The Hurt Locker

There is no way I could even imagine what it's like being in a war. The only types of stories that I can come up with are the stories that I've seen on other movies. I know of a couple of people that have been over in Iraq but I never heard of any actual stories from them. I will always feel a little funny about asking them questions about things that happened over there. I'm always afraid to bring back old memories that can make some veterans go crazy. I'm not politically inclined enough to get into the reasons for the wars but I can tell you that I will never be the one to go over there. On the other hand you have some people in the military that love it and that's all they ever want to do. I say whatever floats there boats go for it because that's a really big responsibility. That's just not defending your house or your neighborhood, it's your country.

An army bomb squad is accompanied by
Sergeant JT Sanborn (Anthony Mackie ) and Specialist Owen Eldridge (Brian Geraghty) over in Iraq. They lose their first bomb specialist in a bomb by what I assume a terrorist. Then they have to call in the best Staff Sergeant William James (Jeremy Renner) who has disabled more than 800 bombs in his career. The tactics that he uses rubs Sergeant JT Sanborn the wrong way and they start to not get along very well. It even reached a point to where JT wanted to kill Will and make it look like mistake. With having to depend on others in your squad they quickly drop their beef. Throughout all the drunk bonding and stressful situations of course they had a count down until they rotatate. Sergeant Williams is really the only one that has something to really live for with his wife Connnie James (the hot girl Evangeline Lilly) and his seed. The only problem is that he's dedicated to one but not the other.

The way this movie is made it looks like a documentary about bomb specialists. I found it quite interesting about the things that go on over there. I already had my presumptions about what went on over there but that was only from TV. It also shows me that whenever a person has a cocky attitude it shows in everything that he does. I'm not going to tell you that it was my favorite army movie but it's in my top five. I believe this movie is in theaters in certain areas so if its in your area go and see it. If not than when it comes out on dvd don't ignore it.

Public Enemies

It's a natural thing for an human being to adapt to a situation. It all depends on the situation that your in. How fast it takes but it's always done one way or the other. People could either make it work someway or just run away from it. For me personally I've been blessed enough to avoid any types of shoot outs in my neighborhood. They were all around my house and sometimes I even knew of the people that were involved. The times that I heard about them it wasn't never over anything that was worth it. If there ever is. People don't try to rob banks or other public places no more like they did back in the 40's or 50's. Of course you really can't compare the two different times because of the way law enforcement has adapted to modern times. I think it would be sweet to be a cop back in those days, to just shoot at every bad guy I see.

Of course this was a gangster movie about
John Dillinger(Johnny Depp) who was a really cocky bank robber. John had a really good crew that had his back at all times. John got his information about what banks to rob from Alvin Karpis (Giovanni Ribisi) who of course took his percentage off the top. Also in the picture for the feds to capture was Pretty Boy Floyd(Channing Tatum) and Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham). Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) was the agent assigned to bring them down. Through out the movie Melvin was trying to figure out a way to bring them all down together.

I like this movie just because of the way John was so cocky about the way he did business. He knew that he couldn't be touched no matter what he did. With his charming personality he told his girl Viola Norris (
Elena Kenney) what he did and what he was going to do but she didn't care. There was also a part in the movie when John was at the peak of being investigated and he just walked right into the police station. He just wanted to know what they had on him, and it worked because he walked right out without anyone noticing him. He even talked to the officers. A friend of mine said that he thought it was too much shooting in the movie but I disagree. With most of the shooting I think it was just showing how much of a bad dude he was. If you haven't seen this movie yet then I don't know what your waiting on.

The Steam Experiment

Some people are aware of global warming and unfortunately others are not.
I've been personally contributing to helping change my excessive pollution just by doing the small things to help the world out. Some people just tell me that I'm just trying to save money on my bills. Which is somewhat true because I don't run any extra lights or extra water. There other things I do like not littering, making sure I put my cigarette buds somewhere. I believe it was Russell Simmions that called it leaving your foot print in the changing of the world. That's what I call myself doing is leaving my foot print. I really don't understand how a lot of the other countries are already involved and we just started putting are foot in the door. I know that President Obama is making a change for us but I think he should make the things we need to make our lives more energy efficient cheaper. I use to think that trying to make others aware of global warming can never go to far but after watching this movie I changed my mind.

Pressure bust pipes is one of my favorite sayings and it really got to Jimmy (Van Kilmer). Jimmy was reading a lot of books about global warming. I guess it just got to him and he felt that no one was doing anything about it. Jimmy decides to take his problems to the Grand Rapids Press to force them to publish his story about global warming. He placed six random people in a steam room just to show them how it will feel when global warming actually arrives. In about two hours all six people will end up dying from the steam and temperature.span>Detective Mancini (Armand Assante) was the first to be called by the chief editor of the paper. As Det. Mancini investigates the whole situation it becomes very aware just how crazy Jimmy is.While a lot of time is spent trying to figure out if Jimmy is telling the truth. The people in the steam room is going crazy and killing each other. Will Det. Mancini find the hostages in time or will all the people die before he becomes aware? Message.

This was a strange one to me but the message was very clear. I think Val Kilmer did a wonderful job in this one playing crazy. It was a couple of hot scenes in the movie just to make me happy. I followed the movie all the way until the end where they kind of lost me. I was just a little confused about the motive of the people, when you see the movie. I'm not sure where this movie stands as far as being in theaters or not. I'll advise you to wait until you get bored and just want to watch a movie to see this one.

If I can only "Imagine That"

When I was younger my brother and I played a lot of things together. Everything from playing sports, video games and girls. There were times that I was by myself, because we're five and a half years apart, is when they showed up. During those times whenever I was alone I did have my own personal group of friends. It wasn't that serious when I was dealing with my imaginary friends. I wouldn't talk to them when I was in the public eye because I was imbaress to. The only time that I can remember talking to them is when I was playing with my toys. I'm not even sure that counts because everybody imagines that their toys talk to them.
It's really funny to me about how kids can have an effect on a lot of things that they have no idea what they're doing. It's crazy what amazing things kids have the ability to do. It's been everything like seeing dead people and seeing the future. My kids don't have any naturally born talents like that but I couldn't imagine it if they did.

This movie is about
Evan Danielson (Eddie Murphy) who is a struggling financial executive trying to make it to the top. Evan and his wife Tricia Danielson (Nicole Ari Parker) are split up and going through a custody battle. They have a cute little girl Olivia Danielson (Yara Shahidi) that's around eight or nine I think that's hurt from the break up. Due to the break up she creates these imagary charcters that argues to each other about the decession that she make. At one point Evan had his back was against the wall with a lot pressure on him to compete with the new successfull business partner Johnny Whitefeather (Thomas Haden Church). All Olivia wanted to do is spend a little time with her father. When Evan finally gave in to his daughter he was basically getting off his chest thoughts about the problems he was having at work. After he told her his problems about work Olivia talked to her imaginary friends and they came up with a soulution. It was all down hill from there kind of because he did end up spending way more time with her. It was a bad thing because it stemed from her doing what she can do for him. Evan gets a little out of control with his success until he hurts Olivia.

I thought this movie was a really, excuse my french , cute. It was a typical Eddie movie with all his over reacting funny stuff. Yara Shahidi is a good up and coming little girl that's gonna be a star one day. It's sad to see that some parents will use there own kids for there advantage. Besides that it really isn't much I didn't like about this movie. In all if you have kids and you just want a night out you won't be dissappointed in this one. If your kids are too bad for the theaters than just wait for it to come to your local video store.

Riding the taken of Pelhan 123

The Detroit People Mover from the <span class=Renisance Ce..." style="border: medium none ; display: block;" width="300" height="211">

Public transportation is an adventure in it's self. I use to and still hear all types of stories about the people on public transportation. I've been born and raised in Michigan so I never had the opportunity to ride the subway. The closest thing I've been on to the subway is the people mover in Detroit. The people mover is a small train that goes around just the downtown area in Detroit.
The news shows some of the crazy things that goes on the buses, but that's just about 30% of what happens. Most of the time it's only when something really server happens. The bus system kind of remind me of TBS theme "charters are welcome." If anyone ever just gets bored, just take the time to ride a bus all day and you'll be amazed at what you'll see. I'm not sure if I've said this before but it scares me to see some of these movies and not to wonder where they get these ideas from. I know that if I ever go to New York again I'm not getting on Pelhan 123.

This was a crazy one here
.
Walter Garber (Denzel Washington) is a recently demoted dispatcher who is at the wrong place at the wrong time. The pressure of Walter being on the radar for being accused of bribery gets to him. Ryder (John Travolta) is a fast talking "terrorist" who is very particular about what he wants out of everything. Ryder uses the transit station as his gate way to the police and the government. Ryder establishes a relationship with Walter through all there bs talk. To the rescue is the NYPD hostage team headed by Camonetti (John Turturro) and they want to take over everything. Since Ryder already established a friendship with Walter he won't talk with no one else. With all this chaos and money involved it just turns into a pride issue.

I have a couple of problems with this movie. To me it all just happened to fast. The caper started right at the beginning of the movie in which could be a good thing to some. It wasn't that predictable but I like for it to lead up to whats about to happen. In the movie it tells you what his whole motivation of taking the train was but it just wasn't that clear.I just found out that this is a remake of an older version and I'm curious to see that one. I personally got a kick out of
James Gandolfini playing the mayor of New York Pretty ironic from him being Tony Soprano a New York crime boss. The movie is one with a fast pace and a simple plot that an action fan would appreciate. If your in the mood for a good combo of actors in a suspenseful movie than you won't be disappointed.

The introduction of changing your life "The Proposal"

I do consider myself a pretty handsome guy. Not meaning to brag but I've had my share of girlfriend experience. Getting married has always been a pleasant dream of mine. It just hasn't planned out the way I wanted it to be. Just for starts I told myself that I would be married by the age of 25 and that didn't happen. To this day I really don't know where that came from. I'm not sure if it was during my dreams of going to the NFL or in more realistic times. Throughout half of my life, I've never been pressured into a relationship. I really don't know how truthful it can be to really have true love that way. There's plenty of ways to do things similar in the new millennium. We have all types of Internet dating sites or your married friends trying to hook you up. You could even find love by trying to talk to a girl that's already taken and she likes you so she finds someone for you. A friend once told me a while ago that I've always had girls fall in my lap. I never really got what that meant but I just denied it. I wish it could of happened the way it did in this movie.

A really good example of a power trip bi*$h is shown in this movie.
Margaret Tate (the hot girl Sandra Bullock)
is a chef auditor of a book company and gives off a persona of meanness. There's no doubt in the beginning of the movie. Right after she finished firing one of her employees it turns out that she's an immigrant from Canada. Not keeping track of time because of her fast paste lifestyle her green card runs out. The ironic part is the person that has a chance to help her out, is the one she fired. Now she's out of options the only way she can stay in America is to get married. She chooses to blackmail
Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) who is a motivated man trying to grow within the company. There are rules to getting married especially if it's under those circumstances it has to be an investigation on your love. Which sounds pretty messed up in itself. Because of that the newly weds have to travel to Alaska to meet Andrew's family. That's where it all goes down or up, it all depends on who you are, from there.

"That was a cute movie" that's what my girlfriend said. With me being a man and all I really can't agree with it being cute, but do think it was a pretty good chick flick. It was a couple of funny parts in the movie. The thing I hate most about TV advertisement is how they show some of the only funny parts of a movie. This situation was no different in this one although it was a couple of parts I didn't see. The one thing that bothers me about this movies is that its so predicable. Overall I will say that if your a single man you might want to stay at home to catch it on cable. If you're in a relationship I will say you won't be disappointed on a movie date.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

Ryu and Ken fighting on Guile s stage in th...Image via Wikipedia

Growing up wasn't that different for me than the kids these days. Some of the things that my step kids do is the same as I use to do. The only difference I think I was outside a little bit more than they are. Whoever decided to think of a thing called video games was a bad dude. With me the only thing I was interested in was sports games and fighting games. Whatever could be turned into a competition is what I would be interested in. Mortal Combat and Street Fighter was the only games out there at the time. That was all we knew growing up. I was always into Street Fighter a little more than Mortal Combat. I really not sure why because in the later years Mortal Combat was still coming out with nice looking games. Street Fighter was the one that fell off until earlier this year. My favorite character on Street Fighter was the guy in the army suit(sorry I forgot his name). He use to do this backward flip kick that was unstoppable if I was playing with him.

This movie was kind of confusing to me because I wasn't sure if it had anything to do with the older version. They made a movie based off Street Fighter a long time ago. With that movie it was more about the bad team and the good team. This movie is about the story of Chin-Li, obviously. As she grows up it shows where she came from and what her mission is. A lot of characters aren't in this movie which was disappointing to me. It was Bison(Neal McDonough) which is the one Chin-Li(Kristin Kreuk) is out for revenge against. Cantana(Josie Ho) is one of the bosses, Balrog(Michael Clarke Duncan) Bison's right hand man and Gen(Robin Shou) who helped Chin-Li through her journey. Even Vaga(Taboo) had a very small part as the bad ass that does some of the dirty work. I guess it was some type of elite team that was out to get Bison's crew. The two leaders of that group were somebody name Charlie Nash(Chris Klein) and Det. Maya Sunee(the hot girl Moon Bloodgood). For some reason I get this feeling that there's going to be another one and there gonna get some type of power to become a character.

I really kind of like the other one a little better because of the action. The Legend of Chun-Li had a better story line. I can't remember if the movie came out after the newer video game or before. The story line I believe was from the original video game. The older movie also had way more characters in it which made it more interesting. Although this movie lacked all thee above I still think it was better than the Mortal Combat movie. If your just a fan of video game movies than you might just want to see this one.

Gran Torino

I remember back in the day when I was walking with my friends back from the movie theater. I really don't remember why but while we were walking in a predominately white area we ran into a couple of white people in a car. They all looked up at the same time and locked the doors at the same time.
It was a couple of friends of mine and just for the reference we were all black. For some reason, it happen so long ago, that's the only instance out of many the just stands out in my head. I really don't believe that racism is going anywhere soon. Although in Gran Torino it is a lesson learned at the end. Don't get me wrong racism goes both ways. There are a lot of black people out there that's holding the grudge against white people. I'm more of a God fearing man myself and believe that we're all one under God. That's the part hurts me the most, if your a christian then there's no way you can be raises. We are making great progress with are new black president. To this day it still get to me whenever I see any type of hatred in a movie.

This movie isn't any different than the ones that I've seen in the past.
Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) is an old bitter man who has a huge chip on his shoulder. If you look up the word "old school" his name and face will appear right next to it. He's a very proud man, proud of his lawn, life and neighborhood. It kind of goes off course when he notice that a foreign family moved next door.
With the Hmong family next door the neighborhood is gone. Ironically the kid next door is the kid life he saves. Just trying to keep Thao Vang Lor (Bee Vang) off his lawn ended up changing both of their lives. Thao is a young kid that's stuck between the good life or the gang life. While driving around the neighborhood he runs into Thao's sister Sue Lor (Ahney Her) who is a girl who can differently handle her own. In this particular seen she has her back against the wall with no where to go and here comes Walt. The drive home is what opens Walt whole life up.

This movie is diffidently a sleeper, meaning falling asleep. If you don't have the patience to watch a slow movie to wait for the climax, than this ones not for you. If you put yourself in the mood to watch a slow movie, you won't be disappointed. I'm kind of an "old school" man myself and it's some things in the movie I agree with. This is one of those manly man movies that the women wouldn't mine seeing. It's parts in the movie that explains the unwritten rules of being a man. This movie was an all around good movie that I'm proud to say. I know that it's kind of old now but if you spent your money at the theater then good. Soon it's gonna be on cable but before then at least good to the movie rental place and rent it, better yet buy it.

The Hangover

A drunk ain't sh*t is what they say. I drink sometimes yeah, but I don't get drunk often. I think that's one of the main reason that I don't drink because of hangovers. I can only think of maybe two times that I've drunk and passed out. To see someone that drunk in person is kind of funny but at the same time sad. People should know when to stop drinking after a certain point. I know when I was younger I always wanted to test my limits for some reason. I don't know if it was because of the people I was around with the peer pressure or just stupid. People act differently than others when they're drunk. Some people get angry and want to argue with everybody about everything. Some people just act the complete opposite of whatever their personality is normally. I think the only thing that everybody go through is getting a little horny, it's just the fact that some people can control what they do. Bachelor parties are one of the funniest things on earth to go to. I don't know if you could ever compare the men parties to the women's but I would assume that ours are more fun. Men don't really think about what the women are doing during the party but I've seen some man have to answer the phone whenever they women call. A lot of the men bachelor parties are the same and I don't have to go into details about what they are.

This movie is about a bachelor party that goes completely south. It's one of those movies that starts at the end then goes into what happened.
Doug Billings (Justin Bartha)is the one that's getting married and at the beginning of the movie the day of the wedding he was lost. His farther-in-law decided to let him use his precious car to go to Vegas. Along the way he wants to take of course take a couple of his friends with him to Vegas. The brother-in-law Alan Garner (Zach Galifianakis) goes along and lets just say he's a couple beers short of a six pack. Then he goes and pick up his school teacher friend Phil Wenneck (Bradley Cooper) who comes off as a scam artist because he finds some way to get the money from the kids in his class so he can have some cash for Vegas. The last one is his dentist friend Stu Price (Ed Helms) who comes for a marriage that is ran by his wife Mellisa (Rachael Harris). The situations that they put themselves through is just amazing everything from some how ending up with a tiger in the apartment to finding 8 million something in chips for the casino.

Every time I write a review on a movie I always get the temptation to tell you the whole movie. Of course I'm not going to do it because I don't want to ruin the movie like other reviews do. If your into movies like Old School or The Wedding Crashers then you don't want to miss this one. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this movie besides the adventurous they go through are not realistic but it is a movie. There are a couple of guest appearance's by Mike Epps, Mike Tyson and Heather Graham. The hot girl in the movie is Jade (Heather Graham) who is a stripper that gets married to Stu, a long story. I personality don't think the movie is funny without Alan involved just because he's stupid and does stupid stuff. If you haven't went and seen this movie at the theater go ahead, you won't be disappointed.

Dance Flick

Dance, dance, dance, I'm a dancing machine. Watch me get down, watch me get down. If you were a dancing machine in the mid 90's then you know the rest of the lyrics of this song. Growing up in my household you would have to be a music fan or else you wouldn't fit in. I have an older brother who was a dancing machine and of course I wanted to be better than him. That's just what younger brothers do, so I was also a dancing machine. You know how back in the day people use to make a circle at a dance and watch the person in the middle dance. I was that guy in the middle. The things we did growing up dancing isn't nothing compared to what they can do now a days. In the real versions of this movies the dances were crazy.

This movie is the make fun of all dance movie versions. In the same category as the Scary Movie sequels and this one is one of the best. It's crazy to me how funny the whole Wayans family can be. Of course making fun of movies started out with the Naked Gun series and Keenen Ivory Wayans ran off with it. This movie was directed by (I think his son)
Damien Dante Wayans but wrote by Keenen. The family was all through the movie which was predicted just because that's how the family works. The movie stars
Damon Wayans Jr. (son of Damon Wayans, My Wife and Kids) as Thomas. Thomas runs into a girl at school Megen (Shoshana Bush) and her friend Charity (the cute girl Essence Atkins) to teach them how to dance. Thomas is around some of the wrong people whenever he's with his dance partner A-Con (Affion Crockett) who tries to point him to the wrong directions.

It's kind of hard to do a review on a comedy movie that makes fun of other movies. The best thing I can say is this movie is funny. Some of my fellow blogger's doesn't agree with the way I feel about some comedies I've refereed but it's just my opinion. So if you haven't went and spent your money yet on this movie. My advice is go see it and you won't be disappointed.

Next Day Air

Well, it's been a minute since my last write. I want to aplogize to my follower.

Growing up in the hood has it's good times and bad times. The things you can run into can often change your life in a blink of an eye. At the wrong place at the wrong time is a regular cliche. At the right place at the right time is something you don't hear on a normal basis. A lot of the time it has something to do with where you are and whoever your around. Watching movies can often be rediculous and make most people say that only happens in movies.

In this movie it's the same thing, it only happens in the movies. I belive this movie is suppose to be a comedy. I'm not going to tell you that I didn't laugh in the movie but I guess I didn't find it that funny. The movie is about a couple different people meeting at a drug deal from different places. Leo (Donald Faison) who works for his mother at a delivery service drops off a drug package to the wrong address. Brody (Mike Epps) and Gooch (Wood Haris) are the reciever of this package which is a "gift from Jesus" to them. The proper owner Bodega( Emilio Rivera)course is very upset that the package didn't delivered to Jesus(Cisco Reyes) and Chita(the hot girl Yasmin Deliz). Now he's out to find out who got the package and willing to do whatever it takes. In the mean time Brody and Gooch decides to try to get rid of the package by calling his cousin Shavoo(Omari Hardwick) who is a big time drug dealer. Everything is all down hill from there.

This movie is not that funny to me compared to the potential it had. With all the actors that play in the movie I just thought it would be funnier. As expected the funny parts of the movie has something to do with Mike Epps. I do belive that Donald Faison has the potential to be a good actor but just not yet. I just have a lot of mixed feelings about this movie so I'm kinda stuck on between telling you to go see this at the theater or wait for video. With that said I guess I can start rating my movies with 1 being terrible 10 being great. I guess I'm going to give this movie a 7.

Obsessed

Relationships always have their ups and downs. Whenever you have a happy couple around it's always someone trying to bring you down. Like they always say misery loves company for some reason. For me personally I can tell when someone is a beer short of a six pack. They all have their own personal signs where you can tell they're a little off. I'm sure it's some type of statistic that shows that men are a little more crazy than women. Because whenever you hear about some type of domestic disturbance it's usually the man doing something. The funny part it's really shocking to the world when it's the woman that's doing the disturbing.

As you all know this movie is about a man Derek (Idris Elba) who is on top of his game in every aspect of his life. His beautiful stay at home mom Sharon (Beyoncé Knowles) who loves her little son. Everything is going great for them until Derek's office needs a temp and that's when it all goes down hill. When Lisa (Ali Larter) meet Derek in the elevator right then she knew what she wanted and was going to do whatever it took. They have their moment together when he does his little harmless flirting, but to her it was all she needed to hear. After that little talk she decided to take over his life.

To me it's a thin line between trying to be there for somebody and wanting them. I believe in the saying you can look but don't touch rule. I think that's all Derek was doing and she was the crazy one. I really don't think I can call this movie good or bad it's just very typical. Idris Elba is a pretty good actor and I can honestly say that Beyoncé did her best job out of all her movies yet. I'll put this movie in the chick flick category. This was or is a very hyped up movie so if you already spent your money at the theater sorry. If you haven't then just wait for a least the video store.

12 Rounds

Well, where do I start with this one. Whenever someone gets married one of the things you have to say is til death do us part. Your suppose to go all out for your spouse. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the love that you've created for each other before you got married. Sometimes it scares me how creative the writers are with some of these story's they write. This movie is a good guide to show you how much a husband should love his wife.

This movie is about a cop Det. Danny Fisher (John Cena) who is in love with his wife Molly(the hot girl? Ashley Scott). Det. Danny Fisher just ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time. The FBI has been looking for an arms dealer Miles Jackson (Aidan Gillen) for a long time. They seem to have him all cornered up but he still manages to get away. The FBI of course had to call the local department for assistance. Danny Fisher and his partner Det. Hank Carver (Brian White) was called to the seen. After a long chase Miles girlfriend was killed. A year later Miles breaks out of jail and plots revenge against Danny. Miles sends Danny through obstacles in order to get his wife back. Which is the reason it's called 12 rounds.

Can we say Die Hard 3? To me that is all this movie is but an updated version. I should apologize for comparing these movies but I'm not. You have the white cop whose wife is in trouble and is willing to do whatever it takes to get her back. The black man that's his partner and the only difference is one was a sarcastic man that owned a store. The other is a cop with a bad sense of humor. The bad guy is out for revenge on a plot that's just like Die Hard 3. The good thing is it's not as predictable. The action in the movie is non stop and quite interesting. If you're just an action person go and see this movie. If not keep your money and wait for it to come out on cable.

The Reader

As we grow up in this world, almost where ever you are, it's always cool to have someone older. I'm talking about having a girlfriend/boyfriend that's a couple of years older. It's the people that's around you that tell you that your heart is gonna get broken or something bad is gonna happen. In the cases that I've seen it's somehow true. I'm not really sure on why it happens but I have my own perception. That's what this movie is about, the heart break, secrets, and failure of an older relationship.

This is a interesting movie/chick flick because of the situation that Michael Berg (Ralph Fiennes and David Kross) puts himself in. Micheal was found by Hanna Schmitz (Kate Winslet) at the bottom of her apartment throwing up. He was sick from having scarlet fever and he came back to thank her. At that point they somehow lock eyes and falls in love with each other. Due to the fact that they're twenty years apart, she was thirty five and he was fifteen. That can make most people turn in their stomach. It was all about the sex (nudity) at the beginning of the relationship then she realized he had to give up something. It turns out that all she wanted was for him to read to her. Later in life Michael becomes a law student and runs into Hanna at an open trial that involves her in the concentration camp.

The Reader is one of those movies that go back and forth from past to present. At first it kind of confused me but it didn't take long. To me movies like that just keeps me on my toes. Kate Winslet won an award for this movie. I hope it was for her acting and not just because she was naked through the first thirty minutes of the movie. Overall I think this was a pretty good movie. Again I'm going to say if your a sleeper you may not want to watch this one. It's a long and slow movie with no action, besides the sex. If you already seen this movie at the theater I hope you think it was worth it. I can say its worth your video rental cash.

State of Play

Where will we be without the press? How would we ever know about anything thats none of our business? As a goverment official if your trying to hide something what's a better thing to have than a personal friend in the media. We the people will never know about the things that happen unless they want us to know. With this movie you'll get all the above.
This movie is about a Rep Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck) who gets invloved with a girl on the side. Turns out not to be whats expected and defentely not worth it. His wife finds out of course through the media because she "commited sucide." After that happens it's all down hill for Stephen (Ben Affleck). Of course all writers want the big story so Stephen turns to his good friend Cal McAffrey (Russell Crowe). Cal is a writer for a struggling news paper (which all papers are struggling now a days with the internet) and he wants to be there for his friend, the paper, plus career. Cal hears Stephen story and decides to looks a little deeper into it. Along with his news paper partner, the hot girl, Della Frye (Rachel McAdams) get involved more than the police know.
I agree with the public when I say this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire movie. I'm a easy catch when it comes to movies like that, I love suspenseful movies. It's one of my favorites because you neve know whats gonna happen. It dosen't really contain any violent seens, sex seens or anything thats keeps an average man interested. If your one of those people that needs a lot of action to keep you awake when watching movies, you may want to sit this one out. Like I do in my reviews I'm gonna tell you this movie is worth whatever you have to spend at your local theater.

Obeserve and Report

As I walk through the mall a couple of things go through my mind. Besides the normal things that everyone else think about like clothes and the people. I can't help but to think about some of the movies that involved malls. The blues brothers when they drove the cars through the mall getting chased by the police. Dawn of the Dead when the people was trapped in the mall and all the zombies was trying to get in. Now the latest Mall Cop when Paul Mart is a security officer that's motivated to become a real cop. Runs into some people trying to break into the mall and saves the day.
Observe and Report has a lot of similarities besides there both mall cops. In the movie Ronnie Barnhardt (Steth Morgan) is a really ambitious security officer who is also trying to get into the police force. Detective Harrison (Ray Liotta) is the anal cop who messes with Ronnie Barnhardt all through the movie. I guess the hot girl is Brandi (Anna Faris) and she works in the malls department store. I think she's a pretty funny person in her other movies like the "scary movies". In this one she isn't that funny just has some funny parts.
The movie it self is really blown out of proportion. Everything is such a big deal, the whole movie is about some pervert who runs around outside the mall naked. Showing his goods to every woman he see, the funniest parts of the movie. Ronnie (Seth Morgan) is a tad bit over board with his obsession wit becoming a cop. Has a drunken mother who shows no sign of being a good parent but tries to be there for her son.
As the producer, writer, or whoever decided to bring this movie out at this time knows that everyone in the world is going to compare this movie. I'm going give in and also do it. I say that I like Mall Cop a little better because its a little more real compared to Observe and Report. I don't want to judge Seth Morgan yet but he does a lot better in a movie than staring in one as the main charter. I think I will have to say you might want to wait for this to come out on dvd before you spend your movie money.

Fighting

Well, lets talk about this movie "Fighting". The movie stars Channing Tatum, pretty boy Terrence Howard and with the hot chick role Zulay Henao. I can confess, like most people in America, I thought this was gonna be another Karate Kid or Never Back Down. It wasn't as bad as I assumed it was gonna be.

The movie is about a young street kid who moved to New York from somewhere down south. To start over his life, I don't want to get into details about it. I don't to mess the movie up for anybody that wants to see it.

Something that really got to me was the way Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard) talked all through the movie. I don't know why it just didn't sound real to me. I haven't seen Channing Tatum play in nothing else so I really can't judge him on his acting. This movie he did pretty well in I guess for a movie about fighting and being the fighter.

To sum it all up, if your just a movie fan and if you like fighting movies go see it. I'm not saying it's going to go down in history but it's worth your money.
